The rumours coming out of the UK in the last few days are getting stronger and stronger and we’re led to believe that The Libertines with Pete Doherty in the line-up will reform to either headline the main stage or be special guests headlining the NME Stage. The only confusion seems to be over which stage they will appear in.

For a band that released only two albums and struggled on briefly after Pete Doherty left in 2004 before calling it quits at the end of the year, they have assumed near mythical status. As Pete’s next band Babyshambles remain a well, shambles, and without sugar mummy Kate Moss around to pay the bills, it would seem that the price is right.
